The PIABC’s Spring Conference is the premier learning and networking event for professional investigators and security consultants in BC.

Chris specializes in location intelligence (LOCINT), the analysis of geospatial data to uncover behavioural patterns and investigative insights. He will demonstrate how this emerging and powerful technology can be applied in real-world investigations, walking attendees through his proprietary software using anonymized case data to illustrate how to trace and reconstruct a subject’s movements. -
William Ruzich, Aracari Project
A former U.S. military intelligence specialist, Will has built a private sector career focused on financial fraud, human trafficking, and government advisory work. As a certified drone operator, he will present on the effective and lawful use of drones in investigations, highlighting practical applications and operational considerations. -
Gregory Tweed, The Preston Matthews Group
With nearly 30 years of investigative experience, Greg will share practical insights into asset investigations through real-world case examples. His session will cover the full investigative lifecycle—from intake to reporting—along with proven methods, tools, and resources to support investigators in the field. -
Cody Funston, Tesla
Cody is a former PIABC member now based in Washington State and currently serves as a Senior Loss Prevention Specialist with Tesla. Tesla’s Loss Prevention team works closely with law enforcement across Canada and the U.S. on cases involving fraud, tracking, and site security. Cody will deliver a tailored version of Tesla’s law enforcement training, covering vehicle technology, investigative considerations, legal processes, and safety. A live vehicle demonstration will be included for hands-on learning and Q&A. - Lee Gauthier, Professional Security Knowledge Network (PSKN)
As Manager of Business Development at PSKN, Lee will provide updates on industry trends and training developments. He will also present the Taras Hryb Educational Builders Award.

- Meng Li, Sapiens Law
Meng is a dual-qualified attorney in California and Washington and a licensed private investigator in British Columbia. With expertise in digital forensics, TSCM, programming, and artificial intelligence, Meng brings a unique legal perspective to AI in investigations, including regulatory considerations and emerging risks. - Dale Jackaman, Amuleta Intelligence;
Dale is a private investigator specializing in high-tech forensic investigations and is actively involved in AI development. He offers a forward-looking perspective on how AI is shaping investigative practices, as well as its broader impact on society and daily operations. - Lael Henterly, President, Washington Association of Legal Investigators (WALI)
A former investigative journalist, Lael is the founder of Integra Intelligence, a Seattle-based firm specializing in complex litigation support and due diligence. Since 2016, she has led over 300 investigations involving securities fraud, antitrust violations, and corruption, helping uncover firsthand witness accounts that connect misconduct to senior leadership. Lael is a Certified Legal Investigator, teaches civil litigation investigations at the University of Washington, and has served as President of WALI since 2024. She is also an active member of multiple international investigative organizations.
