PIABC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Certified Canadian Professional Investigator
In furtherance of the mission of the Professional Investigators’ Association of British Columbia (“PIABC”) to promote a high standard of professionalism and ethics in private investigation, the PIABC has developed a certification program through which members and associate members who meet PIABC’s high standard of ethics, competence, and professional conduct are authorized to use the CCPI designation.
The CCPI is a Canadian Certification for licensed professional investigators granted for a three (3) year term. The license is renewable for another three (3) year term upon payment of a renewal fee and provided the required standards have been met.

How to Apply
Follow these instructions to apply for the Certified Canadian Professional Investigator (CCPI) designation:
- 1All applications to the CCPI designation must be done within the PIABC member portal.
- 2Upon login, locate the CCPI Registration Badge (see image on right) on the Member Portal Dashboard.
- 3Click the link to be taken to the CCPI Registration Form.
- 4Upon completion you’ll receive further instructions from a CCPI administrator.

Until September 2024
Regular application fee of $249 will be applied after October 1st, 2024. There is a $50 administration fee if the application is denied.
