PIABC PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Certified Canadian Professional Investigator

In furtherance of the mission of the Professional Investigators’ Association of British Columbia (“PIABC”) to promote a high standard of professionalism and ethics in private investigation, the PIABC has developed a certification program through which members and associate members who meet PIABC’s high standard of ethics, competence, and professional conduct are authorized to use the CCPI designation.

The CCPI is a Canadian Certification for licensed professional investigators granted for a three (3) year term. The license is renewable for another three (3) year term upon payment of a renewal fee and provided the required standards have been met.

Please use this as a check list prior to starting the application:

  • If you are not a PIABC Member a copy of your current Canadian Provincial Association Membership – Proof of how long and expiry date.
  • Proof of your current Private Investigator license along with proof of the 3 years prior.
  • Proof of attendance of all Investigation related training that you have completed in the past 3 years. Acceptable documentation is copies of the certificates of completion issued by the course provider which include the date completed and credits or course hours. Use this form to itemize the date, course provider, course name and hours/credits and submit with your application. CCPIEducationReportingForm.docx
